After a number of years as a Research Associate in the biotechnology field, I decided to change careers to Data Analytics.
Although I enjoyed analyzing scientific data, the data gathering process was prolonged and labor intensive.
My time in the biotechnology field was not without its own successes.
Not only was I promoted and published in scientific journals, but I also had the opportunity to help coordinate product launches, train sales associates, provide product technical support, and publish marketing materials.
As for my education and skills; I completed my graduate studies in Economics with a 3.80 GPA while working full-time and followed up my graduate studies with a certificate in data analytics and a Tableau Desktop Associate certificate.
Developing the necessary technical skills in order to collect and prepare data for analysis.
In the Report Writer role that I hold currently, I am responsible for ad-hoc reports (created in SQL Server) that clinic managers, physicians, medical assistants, and business stakeholders require for grant purposes, patient outreach, worker performance, and/or audit purposes.
I also implement and maintain Tableau dashboards according to client specifications.
Some of these requests require me to research on medical terminology and procedures in order to analyze and interpret the data involved.
Other duties also include training personnel on Excel capabilities (pivot tables and formulas), setting up automated reports in Business Objects/Crystal Reports, and maintaining the integrity of patient data.

D3.js, JavaScriptWeb application that uses Python libraries; BeautifulSoup, Selenium and Splinter to scrape information and news about Mars. BS4 and Selenium were used to scrape text data, while Splinter was used to click buttons in order to collect images. Data was then stored in MongoDB and rendered to HTMl via Flask app.
Python, MongoDB, BeautifulSoup4, Selenium, HTML, FlaskThis full-stack application utilized a majority of the technical skills learned in the course. Python was used for building database (MySQL), JavaScript rendered the graphs, heatmaps, and visuals, Flask was used to render the endpoints and the html page, and Python/SQlAlchemy was used to query the MySQL database
Python, JavaScript, Heatmaps, Flask, SQL Alchemy, MySQL database building, HTML, HerokuThis project takes user input (sample name) and queries a database for that sample name, data for each sample is then displayed using Plotly.js, Flask was used to render HTML page.
Plotly.js JavaScript Library, Python, Heroku, MySQLThis program utilizes the Twitter api to measure news outlet sentiments of the last 100 tweet by 5 news outlets. The program takes in a list of 5 news agencies and stores the compound tweets as a list in a dictionary. The dictionary of lists is then converted to a dataframe and then a scatterplot. For the bar graphs, the program will sum the total compound sentiments, and then output a bar graph with the totals for each news outlet.
